Brian Patrick O'Callaghan, 36, of Damascus, Md., has been charged with first-degree murder and child abuse in the beating death of his three-year-old adopted son, Hyunsu O'Callaghan. O'Callaghan adopted Hyunsu from Korea and brought the child home to the U.S. in Oct. 2013.
UPI reported on Feb. 19 that O'Callaghan was the chief of the National Security Agency's Korea division.
On Feb. 2, O'Callaghan took his severely injured son to the Children's National Medical Center in Washington. The child was unresponsive at the time. Officials at the hospital contacted authorities immediately upon realizing that the child's injuries weren't accidental.
O'Callaghan was watching his son while the boy's mom, Jennifer O'Callaghan, was out of town for a few days. The father said that Hyunsu hurt himself after falling in the shower on Jan. 31.
The next day, O'Callaghan said he put the boy down for a nap, but when he went to check on him, the child had mucus coming from his nose and began vomiting after he was picked up, police said.
While at the hospital, doctors became immediately concerned over Hyunsu's "internal bleeding in the brain and hemorrhaging in the eyes.
Hyunsu died the next day on Feb. 3, "of multiple blunt impact injuries, which O'Callaghan could not explain or account for, according to police charging documents."
O'Callaghan was arrested by Montgomery County police on Feb. 16 and is being held without bond.
Prosecutors in Montgomery County are convinced that Hyunsu's death was the result of "cold-blooded murder." 'An absolutely horrific crime on an absolutely innocent young victim,' said Assistant State's Attorney Donna Fenton, listing injuries to the boy's head, neck and back.
'Basically this child was beaten to death from head to toe.'

- Doctors also confirmed multiple contusions on the boy's body.

--SAGAN OM JESSICA LYNCH...--
Uppladdad den 18 aug 2008
Remember the story about the heroic rescue of Private Jessica Lynch from "hostile enemy forces" in Iraq? Pure Pentagon propaganda, designed to give the American public (and media) a "war hero" poster child for the Iraq invasion.

"It never really happened that way.
...Except that Lynch herself doesn't remember a single thing and all the nurses and doctors and eyewitnesses on the scene say the Iraqi fedayeen guards had fled the day before the "rescue," and there was no danger whatsoever, no resistance of any kind, the U.S. forces could just walk right in, and they knew it."[...]

-Female army members allegedly pressured into prostitution by officers at Ft. Hood--
SvaraRaderaRT: December 05, 2013
A number of female Army privates at Fort Hood military base in Texas were allegedly pressured to prostitute themselves to superior officers, with the senior-most officer being the one in charge of sexual assault prevention for the unit.
The news originated in the court-martial trial of Master Sergeant Brag Grimes, who, after a two day trial, was found guilty of conspiring to patronize a prostitute and solicitation to commit adultery. He will receive a letter of reprimand and remain in the service, although he was demoted to sergeant first class.
Along with Sgt. 1st Class Gregory McQueen, a non-commissioned officer at Fort Hood, Grimes organized a prostitution ring that sought to convince young female recruits into having sex with the pair for money.
One private testified that McQueen was the main force behind the plan and that he made “abusive sexual contact” with her during an “interview” meant to determine if she could be in the ring, as quoted by the Austin American-Statesman.
McQueen remains on active duty and has not been charged largely because Grimes has refused to testify against him, a situation the New Republic blamed on “the buddy-buddy refusal to report on a predatory peer.”
Prosecutors, based on the testimony from one of the victims, alleged that Grimes indeed did have sex with one of the young women for $100 at a La Quinta Inn. Much of his defense rested on the idea that such an exchange never took place.[...]
