Var hittar korrupta svenska politiker sina idéer till nya människofientliga, rasistiska fascistlagar typ REVA?

Stop & Frisk is a controversial New York Police Department policy that came into the spotlight in the 12 years under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Publicerad den 3 jan 2014

New York now has a new mayor in Bill de Blasio, who was elected on a platform of improving the way the practice is used.
De Blasio's new police commissioner also promises change. But with a record of advocating more aggressive police tactics - as well as backing the practice in the past - are the new officials running New York City really going to turn words into action and reverse decades of mistrust towards the NYPD? RT's Anastasia Churkina reports.

- Three days before he was sworn in as New York City’s 109th mayor, Bill de Blasio announced he would drop the city’s appeal of Judge Shira Scheindlin’s ruling finding the NYPD’s aggressive stop-and-frisk tactics unconstitutional.
That was good news for New Yorkers. Nearly 90 percent of the 4.4 million people the police stopped for questioning between 2004 and 2012 had done nothing wrong, according to evidence presented at a nonjury trial Scheindlin conducted last spring.
But the announcement leaves in limbo a devastating ruling by a federal appeals court panel, which removed Scheindlin as the judge presiding over challenges to the NYPD’s stop-and-frisk policing since 1999. The removal order was a crushing blow to Scheindlin’s professional standing and sent a chilling message to other judges: tread carefully when handling cases that challenge government action.
Scheindlin issued two rulings last August. One found the NYPD’s stop-and-frisk procedures unconstitutional, and the other ordered the city to implement reforms under the supervision of a court-appointed monitor.

--The FBI drops 'law enforcement' from its mission statement--
SvaraRaderaJanuary 5, 2014
The Federal Bureau of Investigation may have bigger things to worry about than law enforcement. Foreign Policy is reporting a change in the bureau's latest fact sheet, in which the agency's primary mission has changed from "law enforcement" to "national security." It's in keeping with the bureau's post-9/11 duties as the nation's primary domestic counterterrorism agency, but the timing has many FBI-watchers scratching their heads. What's changed in the last year to make the bureau shift away from law enforcement?
The bureau has long been part of the National Security wing of the government, as distinct from purely civilian agencies like the Department of Agriculture, but its primary purpose was always seen as one of enforcing the laws...[...]

Death By A Thousand Cuts: The Silent Assassination Of European Democracy

By Don Quijones, a freelance writer and translator based in Barcelona, Spain. His blog, Raging Bull-Shit, is a modest attempt to challenge some of the wishful thinking and scrub away the lathers of soft soap peddled by our political and business leaders and their loyal mainstream media.
As is gradually dawning on more and more people across the old continent, the European Union is riddled with fatal flaws and defects. Chief among them is the single currency which, rather than serving as the Union’s springboard to global dominance, could well be its ultimate undoing.
Another huge problem with the EU is its acute lack of transparency. Staggering as it may seem, in the last 20 years the Union has not passed a single audit. Indeed, so opaque is the state of its finances that in 2002 Marta Andreasen, the first ever professional accountant to serve as the Commission’s Chief Accountant, refused to sign off the organization’s 2001 accounts, citing concerns that the EU’s accounting system was “open to fraud.” After taking her concerns public, Andreasen was suspended and then later sacked by the Commission.
However, by far the EU’s greatest — and certainly most dangerous — structural flaw is its gaping democratic deficit. To paraphrase Nigel Farage, the stridently anti-EU British MEP, not only is the EU undemocratic, it is fundamentally anti-democratic.[...]

-Hotell stoppade regeringens romska talare-
SvaraRaderaSR 25 mars
