Nearly five years after a Utah couple cancelled a transaction with a company called KlearGear.com, the web company has slapped them with a hefty fine in retaliation for a negative online review, damaging their credit rating.
John Palmer told CNN that in 2008 he cancelled a gift order meant for his wife Jen because it was never delivered. Frustrated by the customer service, or lack thereof, the Palmers explained their situation in a post on Ripoff Review, a complaint site where dejected customers warn others to stay away from certain companies.
In response, Klear Gear contacted the Palmers earlier this year and warned them to remove the review, claiming it violated a company “non-disparagement clause,” or else face a stiff fine. Jen Palmer’s review reads in part “there is absolutely no way to get in touch with a physical human being,” also noting “horrible customer service practices.”
“In an effort to ensure fair and honest public feedback, and to prevent the publishing of libelous content in any form, your acceptance of this sales contract prohibits you from taking any action that negatively impacts KlearGear.com, its reputation, products, services, management or employees.”
“This is fraud,” Jen Palmer told KUTV.com. “They’re blackmailing us for telling the truth. I have the right to tell somebody else these guys ripped me off.”

--Racist gangs took over LA County Sheriff's Department, deputies claim--

Deputies at an LA county sheriff’s department allege that their superiors are members of white supremacist gangs and have taken extensive measures to hide at least one inmate from the FBI.
Two deputies at the LA County Sheriff’s Office have jointly filed a lawsuit alleging that the department hid an inmate from the FBI, covered up an incident involving a skinhead deputy, threatened to kill the deputies for exposing their gang involvement, and called them “race traitors” and “snitches”.
“An inappropriate relationship exists between certain LASD personnel and various inmate jail gangs, especially white supremacist,” states the complaint, which was filed by deputies Michael Rathbun and James Sexton.
“LASD personnel use these jail gangs as proxies or agents to retaliate against other LASD deputies and inmates. Within these inappropriate alliances, the gangs are given certain privileges that are otherwise legally precluded from them.” The deputies filed the suit in federal court against the LASD, Sheriff Leroy Baca, Undersheriff Paul Tanaka, Lt. Greg Thompson and “Detective Perkins”. The 39-page report outlines their alleged activities involving white supremacist gangs.
Lt. Thompson and Undersheriff Tanaka were allegedly part of a racist cop gang called “the Vikings”, the complaint states. Members of this police gang are required to have the group’s symbol tattooed on their bodies.[...]

The French planned operation in the Central African Republic is a part of the ongoing inner-imperialist rivalry between France and the United States for control of post-colonial Africa, Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of Pan-African News Wire, told RT.
President Hollande has said that France will take immediate military action as sectarian violence escalates in the Central African Republic.
Earlier the UN Security Council voted to allow French troops to join an African peacekeeping force.
Fresh clashes between local militias in the capital Bangui have killed about 100 people and wounded scores more.
RT: Shouldn't France have taken action earlier as the violence there has been escalating since March when the president was toppled? Why now is this suddenly an issue?
Abayomi Azikiwe: This is something that has been planned now for several months. The French already have troops inside the Central African Republic, [in] the capital of Bangui. They've admitted to at least 650 troops who have been there for considerable amount of time. They claim they are there to protect France’s interests as well as French citizens.
