People in hundreds of cities across the world are taking part in mass rallies planned by the global protest group - Anonymous. The day of action is called the Million Mask March - it's uniting those, protesting against the violation of online privacy, as well as corporate greed and corrupt governments. Protesters wearing Guy Fawkes masks - are demonstrating their allegiance with the Anonymous hacktivist group - infamous for its online anti-government actions. One of the biggest rallies is underway in Washington DC - RT's Gayane Chichakyan joined the protesters there.

Anonymous calls for 'Million Mask March' protest around the world

In the UK, November 5 is Guy Fawkes Day, commemorating the failure of Guy Fawkes' Gunpowder Plot to blow up the British Parliament over 400 years ago. Since the popularization of Fawkes due to the graphic novel and movie "V for Vendetta," the Anonymous hacker group has taken the ubiquitous Guy Fawkes mask as their symbol.

Anonymous claimed Tuesday as the "Million Mask March" around the world, protesting against billionaire bankers and corporations, who they say are corrupting politicians and perpetuating injustices around the world. Rallies took place in more than 400 locations around the world, and RT's Ramon Galindo finds out more from the rally in Los Angeles.
