We are being told that this attack is being prepared because Assad crossed the "red line" of chemical weapons use. This is a lie. America has never cared about the victims of chemical weapons attacks ever in its history unless it can achieve its own military objectives by parading on the corpses of those victims. This time is no exception.

Kerry Lies About Number of Syrian Chemical War Dead

Doctors Without Borders said 355 people were killed.

During his State Department speech today, Secretary of State John Kerry grossly misrepresented the facts about the chemical attack at Ghouta near Damascus.

“The United States government now knows that at least 1,429 Syrians were killed in this attack, including at least 426 children,” Kerry said. “I’m not asking you to take my word for it. Read for yourself, everyone… the evidence from thousands of sources, evidence that is already publicly available,” he added.

- According to the international aid group Doctors Without Borders, however, 355 people were killed, not the wildly exaggerated figure cited by Kerry.

Kerry said evidence of Syrian complicity in the attack remains classified and will not be shared with thew American people.

The organization, along with the Red Cross, is deeply concerned the Obama administration and other proponents of military action against Syria are misrepresenting data to make the case for military intervention.
On Thursday, the Red Cross said a U.S. attack will aggravate civilian suffering. “Further escalation will likely trigger more displacement and add to humanitarian needs, which are already immense,” said Magne Barth, head of the International Red Cross delegation in Syria.

The establishment media has reported the government’s version of what happened it Syria without criticizing such discrepancies.

On Friday, we reported the so-called rebels, in fact al-Qaeda mercenaries supported by the CIA and Saudi Arabia, were responsible for the chemical attack Obama and the government, including many members of Congress, have attributed to Bashar al-Assad without providing evidence.

“From numerous interviews with doctors, Ghouta residents, rebel fighters and their families… many believe that certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the (deadly) gas attack,” writes Associated Press journalist Dale Gavlak.

Who benefits from the ongoing destabilization of Assad's government? What will the Middle East look like if the Sunnis take over Syria? What is Israel's role in this? What do Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have to gain from a war in Syria? And what does Bandar Bush have to do with all of this? Galloway: USA och väst har 5-dubblat antalet döda för att starta kriget

Any possibility of British involvement in a military campaign in Syria has been effectively ruled out after British lawmakers voted down the prospect in parliament, costing the US the nation's closest ally in a potential strike. British MP George Galloway joins RT to talk more on brewing international tensions over Syria.

Following twin war drum speeches by Secretary of State John Kerry and Obama on Friday, the corporate media, led by the traditional master of war propaganda, the New York Times, speculated that the United States might not attack Syria if it can’t nail down support.

“Deprived of the support of Britain, America’s most stalwart wartime ally, the Obama administration scrambled behind the scenes to build international support elsewhere for a strike that might begin as early as this weekend,” the Time reports. “Officials were still holding out hope that at least one Arab country might publicly join the military coalition.”

One Arab nation? How pathetic. None of this matters because so-called partners, consensus and the “need to establish American credibility” has little to do with the drive to bomb Syria.

Bombing Syria — or any other country — is about business: the prospect of bombs over Damascus is about profits for the military-industrial complex.

It is about transnational corporations and international banks that stand to gain both obscene profits and unprecedented political power in a geopolitical chess game.[...]

  4. -Kerry's Cozy Past with Assad, 'He's a Very Generous Man'
    September 1, 2013-

    Source: Activist Post

Secretary of State John Kerry is calling for the overthrow and murder of his friend, Syria's president Assad, claiming definitively that he used chemical weapons against his own people.

John Kerry was frequent visitor of Assad's over the last few years. Perhaps no one in U.S. politics knows him better than Kerry who was complimentary of Assad as short as 2 years ago when he referred to him as a "very generous man".

Kerry (America) has not provided the world with any proof other than grainy videos allegedly taken during the event and a declassified report which is probably as reliable as Bush's Iraq 45 minutes to nuclear launch reports. Assad has emphatically denied the accusations and no independent source has yet confirmed America's claims.

"Well, I personally believe that -- I mean, this is my belief, okay? But President Assad has been very generous with me in terms of the discussions we have had. And when I last went to -- the last several trips to Syria -- I asked President Assad to do certain things to build the relationship with the United States and sort of show the good faith that would help us to move the process forward," Kerry said in 2011.

It's hard to believe the notion that Assad would be so foolish. The strategic idiocy in launching chemical attacks, not on the rebel fighters but on civilian loyalists near Damascus, knowing full well that it would invite Western intervention makes very little sense.

We are supposed to believe that Assad, who speaks perfect English, is stupid and evil. Not likely.

In fact, Assad was actually a strong ally in fighting Al Qaeda until America teamed up with Al Qaeda to destroy him and his country.

  5. -Syria "Expert" Cited by Kerry, McCain Fired for Lying about Academic Credentials-

Think tank that employed Elizabeth O'Bagy fires analyst who made case that Syrian opposition was more moderate.

Foreign policy analyst Elizabeth O'Bagy appeared on numerous media outlets and was cited by high-level officials, but both her objectivity and credibility have been put into grave question. (Image: Fox News screenshot)A foreign policy analayst repeatedly cited by U.S. government officials—including Secretary of State John Kerry in testimony before Congress last week—has been fired after the think tank where she has been working discovered she was lying about her academic credentials.

Elizabeth O’Bagy, who has been cited as an expert on Syria by numerous media outlets, was employed by the Institute for Study of War in Washington D.C., but has been terminated after it was discovered she did not hold a doctorate from Georgetown University as she had claimed.

“The Institute for the Study of War has learned and confirmed that, contrary to her representations, Ms. Elizabeth O’Bagy does not in fact have a Ph.D. degree from Georgetown University,” the think tank announced in a statement. “ISW has accordingly terminated Ms. O’Bagy’s employment, effective immediately.”

O'Bagy's expertise on the rebel forces aligned against President Bashar al-Assad was used to bolster arguments by those calling for U.S. intervention by painting a picture that the moderate elements within the opposition were in the ascendent over more extreme militias, such as the Al Nusra Front which has pledged allegiance to al Qaida.

Her objectivity, however, was questioned even before these new revelations about her academic background surfaced.[...]
