Exklusiva skyskrapor och bostadshus i en ständigt ökande skara av nya moderna städer. Det är bara ett litet problem...

Nästan  ingen bor i de enorma nybyggda spökstäderna. Bara ett litet fåtal kineser har råd. Ändå står ett tiotal nya spökstäder färdiga i Kina varje år.

En del kallar Kinas sanslösa byggnadsprojekt för:  "de moderna pyramiderna." 64 miljoner tomma lägenheter hade säkert gjort vilken Farao som helst avundsjuk...

It’s all part of the government’s efforts to keep the economy booming, and there are many people who would love to move in, but it’s simply too expensive for most.
